Trials and Triumphs of Starting a Home-Based Business: Local Networking Group Educates Moms on Realities of Starting a Business

San Clemente, CA, Jan 21st- the San Clemente chapter of Mom Business Associates, Inc., a networking group for mom business owners, is hosting a workshop to educate moms on the realities of starting a business from home.
Home-based business ownership is a growing trend among working moms, and it shows no sign of slowing down: Mom entrepreneurs are the fastest growing segment of the business community. For the most part, the motivation to work from home stems from the desire among working moms to be in control of their lives, to lead a balanced life, and to be more involved in the lives of their children.

As appealing as self-employment may sound, running a home-based business presents many challenges that are often not anticipated by new mompreneurs. Dr. Sherry Nouraini, President and Founder of Mom Business Associates, is holding a workshop to help moms understand the realities of starting a home-based business, and to offer strategies for improving their chances of success. This educational workshop is combined with a food drive for the Family Assistance Ministries of San Clemente.

The seminar entitled "Trials and Triumphs of Home-Based Business Ownership" will be held at Lavender Lounge Tea Company on February 22nd, 2010 at 12:00 p.m. Attendees are asked to bring non-perishable food items for donation to the Family Assistance Ministries.
